Resurrexit

Resurrexit sicut dixit, alleluia!
(He is risen as He said, alleluia!)

Jesus' rising from the dead three days after that horrible scene in Golgotha conveys to us that our God is faithful, one who neither deceives nor can be deceived, one who is true to His word no matter what.

The great feast of Easter then calls us to be faithful like Him. To stand up for God and burn bridges with the devil. It does make sense why we have the Renewal of our Baptismal Vows during the Masses held in the Easter Vigil and on Easter Sunday. At Lent, we shared in Christ's passion and death through the various sacrifices and other pious and charitable works. This season, it's high time we share in the glory of the resurrection following the exhortation of St Paul, whose 2000th birth anniversary we are commemorating this year: "Christ, our passover, has been sacrificed; let us celebrate the feast, then, by getting rid of all the old yeast of evil and wickedness, having only the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."

We at anluwage.com have always valued serving God's people. It is through reaching out to others that we are able to proclaim Jesus' Good News. In order to make a better impact on others, we have linked up with other Catholic communities complementing each other's work. Two years ago we have began a partnership with the Parishes of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour and Divine Infant of Prague. Last year, we welcomed PREDA and the Confraternity of Catholic Saints. This year, we opened our doors to Radio Maria Philippines, a Catholic radio based in Tarlac, Philippines. We thank these communities for welcoming us too and we look forward to working more closely together to bring Jesus and His Good News to more people.

During those years we have also welcomed more volunteers into the fold. Early this year, we have two new God-speak volunteers - Fidji Rivera-Sarmiento and Gharri Tulabut. We hope that by next year we will have twelve volunteers each writing the Gospel reflections per month. Could you be one of these we are looking for? Please don't stifle that calling in your heart! Do get in touch with us.

We thank you too, beloved readers, for staying tuned to us during this Holy Week and always. In your small ways, you too have been one with us in evangelizing the world. Keep up the good work!

The Faithful Risen Jesus is counting on all of us! This Easter and always let's be His faithful people!

Happy Easter!
